XSScrapy is useful when you want a simple crawler that automatically follows links and tests discovered inputs for XSS, with some SQLi detection thrown in. Its ability to handle cookies, authentication, forms, URL parameters, and rate limiting makes it practical for straightforward web assessments. We'd reach for it when we want quick automated coverage of a traditional web application, but for modern JavaScript-heavy applications or deeper XSS analysis, we'd favor something more sophisticated.
