What is SysAlbania?

SysAlbania is a technology platform combining an editorial publication with a professional services practice. The publication covers technology news, security research and step-by-step technical tutorials, supported by a video library, practical quizzes and a searchable vulnerability database. The Academy provides structured courses that record a learner's progress and issue a verifiable certificate upon completion. Alongside the published material, SysAlbania delivers commercial IT services and information security services to organisations. The editorial and commercial sides are kept deliberately distinct: articles and tutorials are written to be useful on their own terms, and are not promotional material for the services practice. The intended audience includes security practitioners, system administrators, developers and students, as well as organisations seeking technical expertise they do not maintain in house.

What IT and security services does SysAlbania provide?

SysAlbania operates two service lines. The information security practice, at security.sysalbania.com, delivers penetration testing, security audits, incident response and security advisory engagements. The IT practice, at services.sysalbania.com, covers IT services, products and managed security, including cloud and managed infrastructure work, together with web design and development delivered in defined service tiers. Engagements are scoped individually, because the effort involved depends on the size of the estate, the systems in scope and the assurance required. For that reason, published prices are not attached to the security services. Organisations are invited to describe their requirements through the contact form on the relevant site, and receive a proposal setting out scope, method, timeline and cost before any work is agreed or any commitment is made.

How do Academy courses work, and what do they cost?

Courses are priced individually. Each course page states its price, its lesson structure and its estimated duration before enrolment, and where a course is offered at no charge that is stated in the same place. Payment is processed by Stripe; SysAlbania does not receive or store card details. Purchases confer lifetime access to the course and are recorded permanently against the purchaser's account, so material remains available after the initial session and progress is preserved across devices. Paid enrolments are covered by a thirty-day money-back guarantee. Progress is tracked lesson by lesson, and once every lesson in a course is complete the platform issues a certificate automatically. An account is required in order to enrol, so that progress, access and certificates can be attributed correctly.

Where does the vulnerability data in the CVE database come from?

The vulnerability database is compiled from two authoritative public sources: the National Vulnerability Database maintained by the United States National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalogue published by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Records are imported into SysAlbania's own database and refreshed on a scheduled basis rather than retrieved on demand, which allows search and filtering to remain responsive across the full dataset. Each record retains its CVSS severity rating, affected products and publication date, together with a link to the originating advisory so that any detail may be verified against the primary source. Entries listed in the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalogue are identified separately, as confirmed exploitation warrants a different remediation priority from theoretical severity alone.

Why is an email address required to view a complete tool write-up?

Tool pages are presented in two parts. The tool's name, category and summary are available to every visitor without condition. The complete write-up, comprising SysAlbania's own assessment together with the repository reference, version and distribution details, requires the submission of an email address. That address is added to the SysAlbania newsletter, and constitutes the only consideration requested in return for original research. No password is required and no account is created; the entitlement is retained in the browser, so the request is made once per device. Visitors who prefer not to provide an address remain free to evaluate the software independently, as every tool covered is publicly available. The requirement applies solely to SysAlbania's written assessment, never to the tool itself.
