Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SysAlbania (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use sysalbania.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information — your name/username, email address, hashed password, and profile image if you provide one. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your basic profile (name, email, avatar) from that provider.
Usage & activity — courses, articles, likes, bookmarks, comments, quiz results, streaks, and similar activity you generate on the Service.
Technical data — IP address, device/browser information, and log data used for security, rate-limiting, and diagnostics.
Payment data — if you subscribe, billing is handled by our payment processor. We do not store your full card details; we receive only subscription status and identifiers.
2. How we use your information
To provide and operate the Service; to create and secure your account; to send verification codes, password resets, and important service and security emails; to personalize your experience; to process memberships; to prevent abuse; and to improve the Service.
3. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies for authentication and security. We also use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand how the Service is used; these set analytics cookies and collect usage data as described in Google's policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
4. When we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, including:
- Authentication providers (Google, GitHub) when you choose to use them;
- Email delivery (SMTP provider) for verification, resets, and notifications;
- Payment processing for memberships;
- Hosting, content delivery, and image storage;
- Analytics (Google Analytics / Tag Manager).
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Verification codes and reset tokens are short-lived. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see “Your rights”).
6. Security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures: passwords are hashed, transport is encrypted (HTTPS), access is rate-limited, and sensitive actions require verification. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You can update most information directly in your profile settings.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service, and the “last updated” date above will change.
